Ms. Traci Bishop was singing and dancing at a very early age even before she learned how to walk and talk. At a tender age of five, she started taking dance instruction from Corine's Dance Studio in Gary, Indiana, learning Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern Dance (now called HIp-Hop). She began to choreograph dances for herself and other children in the neighborhood entering local contests and winning competitions. In high school, Ms. Bishop modeled professioinally, danced in the school's modern dance group, participated in the pom-pom team, and appeared in school productions and plays. In college, Ms. Bishop majored in Business Administration and minored in Choreography at Indiana State University. She was with the I.S.U Sycamore Dancers and performed in All That Jazz, Annie, Cats, and Fiddler on the Roof. Once out of college, Ms. Bishop started teaching dance and coaching the pom-pom at her high school Alma Mater, Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana. IN 1992, Ms. Bishop started moved to Indianapolis and started teaching dance for B.A.D. (Be Against Drugs) of Madame Walker Summer Youth Program and YMCA After-School Programs through Indy Parks Washington Park. During this time, she also taught Praise Dance at various churches, includinf Phillips Temple A.M.C. In 2001, Ms. Bishop moved to California and from here, her whole world changed! Ms. Bishop was able to broaden her portfolio by doing stand-up comedy, Hollywood commericials, profesional videos, and entertainment award shows. Auditioning for BET's Comic View, she landed stage time at the famous Improv and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles performing with Michael Colyer, Chris Spencer, Hope Flood, G-Thang, Red Garnet, and other great comedians. She was an escort for the A.C.A Awards two years in a row, participated in the Soul Train Awards, did a promo for the Extreme Make-Over television pilot, was in a commercial produced by Dream Works, and danced in several professional music videos. While performing professionally, Ms. Bishop continued to keep her heart with the children in the neighborhood and taught dance at the YMCA in San Fernando Valley, California. Finally in 2004, she made the decision to move back home to Indianapolis. In 2005, Traci's Urbann Jamm was born.
